The Dura 5R Medium Sleeping mat is Exped's most popular camp mat. Why? Because it just does it all in a durable package and a good price. The Dura 5R uses SYNMAT technology for its insulation as well as their more durable 75D/170D shell. If you want a mat that you can take on overnight family camping trips, to week long hikes, back country ski trips, to alpine adventures, then this is it. 

SYNMAT technology is awesome. Exped use premium Bluesign approved synthetic insulation that they weld to both the top and bottom of the mat. This means every time you inflate it the insulation is stretched out and achieves maximum loft. No losing performance as the mat gets older. This new updated "Dura" version uses a 100% recycled shell that has also dramatically increased in durability. Not only that but the mat is completely carbon neutral from source materials to manufacturing to delivery.
